Booking & Reservations
How do I make a reservation?
You can make a reservation online through our website by selecting your desired vehicle, dates, and locations. You can also call us at +1 (808) 909-1272 for assistance.
Can I modify or cancel my reservation?
Yes, you can modify or cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time for free. Changes within 24 hours may incur fees.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2 days in advance, especially during peak seasons. However, we also accept same-day reservations subject to availability.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a security deposit which is held on your credit card. The amount varies based on the vehicle category and is fully refundable upon return of the vehicle in good condition.
Requirements & Documentation
What documents do I need to rent a car?
You need a valid driver's license, a credit card in your name, and proof of identity (passport or ID card). International renters may need an International Driving Permit.
What is the minimum age to rent?
The minimum age to rent is 21 years old. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge and may have restrictions on certain vehicle categories.
Can I use a debit card?
We require a credit card for the security deposit. Debit cards may be accepted for payment of the rental charges after the deposit is secured with a credit card.
Do you accept international driver's licenses?
Yes, we accept valid international driver's licenses. Depending on your country of origin, you may also need an International Driving Permit (IDP).
Pickup & Return
What are your pickup and return hours?
Our standard business hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week. After-hours pickup and return can be arranged for an additional fee.
Can I return the car to a different location?
Yes, one-way rentals are available for an additional fee. The fee varies based on the pickup and drop-off locations.
What if I return the car late?
We offer a 30-minute grace period. Returns beyond this may incur additional charges, potentially including a full extra day's rental.
What should I do if I need to extend my rental?
Contact us as soon as possible to extend your rental. Extensions are subject to availability and may be at different rates than the original booking.
Insurance & Coverage
What insurance is included?
Basic liability insurance is included with all rentals. This covers third-party damages up to the legal minimum requirements.
What additional coverage options are available?
We offer Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), and Theft Protection. These can be added during checkout.
Can I use my own car insurance?
Some personal car insurance policies extend coverage to rental vehicles. We recommend checking with your insurance provider before declining our coverage options.
What happens if the car is damaged?
You should report any damage immediately. Depending on your coverage, you may be responsible for damages up to the deductible amount specified in your rental agreement.
Vehicle & Extras
What extras are available?
We offer GPS navigation, child safety seats, additional driver coverage, roadside assistance packages, and mobile WiFi hotspots.
Is fuel included in the rental?
Vehicles are provided with a full tank. You should return the car with a full tank to avoid refueling charges. Prepaid fuel options are also available.
Are the cars cleaned and sanitized?
Yes, all vehicles undergo thorough cleaning and sanitization between rentals, including high-touch surfaces and interior areas.
What if I have a problem with the car during my rental?
Contact our 24/7 support line immediately. We'll arrange for assistance, whether it's a replacement vehicle or roadside service.
Payment & Pricing
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). Debit cards may be accepted for final payment after the deposit is secured.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, we believe in transparent pricing. All mandatory fees are displayed before you complete your booking. Optional extras and their costs are clearly listed.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! First-time customers get 5% off. We also offer weekly and monthly discounts, as well as seasonal promotions. Check our Deals page for current offers.
When is payment charged?
A hold is placed on your credit card at booking or pickup. The final charge is processed at the end of your rental period.
Hawaii-Specific Questions
Do I need a special license to drive in Hawaii?
No special license is needed. A valid U.S. driver's license works in all 50 states including Hawaii. International visitors may need an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their home country license, depending on the country of origin.
Can I take my rental car to other Hawaiian islands?
No, rental cars cannot be taken between Hawaiian islands. Each island is separate, and inter-island car transport is not available. If you're visiting multiple islands, you'll need to arrange separate car rentals on each island.
Where can I park my rental car in Waikiki?
Waikiki has both street parking (metered, limited to 2-3 hours) and parking garages. Most hotels offer valet or self-parking ($25-$50/day). The Waikiki Trade Center and Royal Hawaiian Center garages are convenient public options. We recommend hotel parking for overnight stays.
How much does car rental cost in Honolulu?

Is it cheaper to rent a car at Honolulu Airport?
Airport rental counters may have convenience fees. Booking online in advance through our website typically offers better rates than walk-up airport rentals. We offer free airport pickup at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) with advance booking.
What are the best scenic drives from Honolulu?
Popular scenic drives include: the North Shore route via Kamehameha Highway, the windward coast via Pali Highway and H-3, the southeast coast to Makapuu Lighthouse, and the drive up to Tantalus Lookout for city views. All are within 30-60 minutes from Honolulu.
Do I need a 4WD vehicle in Hawaii?
For most visitors, a standard 2WD vehicle is sufficient for paved roads around Oahu. A 4WD or SUV is recommended if you plan to explore off-the-beaten-path areas or want extra comfort on rougher roads. Jeep Wranglers are popular for adventurous driving.
What side of the road do you drive on in Hawaii?
Hawaii follows U.S. driving rules — you drive on the right side of the road. Speed limits are generally 25-35 mph in town and 45-60 mph on highways. Be aware of slower traffic on scenic coastal roads.
